How to Solve the Lack of Groundwater in Manor Lords
Creating a proper medieval village requires finding a balance in everything. In Manor Lords, players face eternal problems with food, lack of resources, and constant redistribution of residents. Besides, the game features natural events, such as the unavailability of drinking water. In this guide, we will tell you how to solve the lack of groundwater issue.
Where to Find Groundwater
Groundwater is needed to build wells to provide residents with drinking water. The absence of water will affect health and labor force, so it's better to place several wells in the settlement right away. Building one well costs one timber.
First, you should determine which mode you are playing in. If it's easy difficulty, you can place a well anywhere — water is available everywhere by default. Do not place wells on the road to avoid disrupting the settlement's logistics.
In other modes, you will have to search for groundwater through the construction menu. Selecting a well, study the surrounding area to decide on the best placement of the well network for supplying drinking water. You might need to shift the settlement, which should not be difficult at the initial stage.
Groundwater is generated around your settlement each time, but there might be a bug causing no drinking water to be nearby. If this happens, the easiest solution is to start a new game until the developers fix this issue.
