W-Engines in Zenless Zone Zero are analogous to artifacts in Genshin Impact. They can increase the base stats of characters and provide unique abilities. Of course, there are no universal W-Engines in the game, as each hero needs to be equipped individually. However, some items are objectively better than others. Just like with characters, we have divided all W-Engines into categories S, A, B, C, and D, from the most effective to the useless ones.

S-Class W-Engines

The Restrained. The optimal option for heroes who incapacitate enemies temporarily. This W-Engine increases the effectiveness of stunning.

Fusion Compiler. The only S-Class W-Engine that enhances anomaly effectiveness. For heroes specializing in this element, there is currently no worthy alternative.
Brimstone. Significantly increases base damage, making it suitable for all attacking characters.
Steel Cushion. The best option for heroes who deal physical damage. Additionally, it increases the critical attack value.
Weeping Cradle. The optimal choice for support characters. This W-Engine increases energy recovery and ally damage.

A-Class W-Engines

Electro-Lip Gloss. Increases anomaly effectiveness and boosts damage related to this element.
Big Cylinder. With this W-Engine, you can make Ben effective. After equipping this item, he will deal critical damage. Just summon the hero onto the battlefield once every 7-10 seconds, perform an attack, and switch him out with other fighters.

B-Class W-Engines

Spring Embrace. The main advantage of this item is accelerated energy recovery. Unfortunately, the other parameters are at a mediocre level.
Kaboom the Cannon. Increases the damage of all fighters in your squad. However, to get the bonus, you need to constantly switch between allies during the battle.
Unfettered Game Ball. Increases your heroes' critical damage by 12%.
Rainforest Gourmet. A decent choice for characters focused on anomaly actions. But the lack of an energy recovery bonus prevents it from fully utilizing its passive abilities.
Street Superstar. Increases the effectiveness of your ultimate skill. However, you won't be able to use it often anyway, so the usefulness of this W-Engine seems questionable.
Precious Fossilized Core. Increases the effectiveness of stunning. A decent option for heroes who specialize in temporarily incapacitating enemies. At least until you find a better item.
Bunny Band. One of the few W-Engines that increases defense. Besides, it boosts the maximum health value and attack.
Original Transmorpher. An analogue of the Bunny Band with similar characteristics. The difference is that it increases the effectiveness of regular hits, not attack power in general.

C-Class W-Engines
