The new region in Genshin Impact — Inazuma hides a lot of riddles, secrets, and spatial puzzles. In this guide, we will tell you everything known about them and help you with solving them.
The first thing you should remember is that Inazuma is closely associated with electricity. That is why the vast majority of puzzles will require you to have an Electro character or an Electrogranum — a spirit that temporarily enhances the hero and allows interaction with electro devices. Electrogranum can be upgraded. This is important because during your explorations, you will encounter the need for a more powerful spirit to solve puzzles. To upgrade, you will need to visit the Sacred Sakura. Electrogranum are given by the branches of the thunder cherry tree growing throughout the territory.
In the sky above Inazuma, you may notice strange energy spheres. If you approach one of them close enough with an Electro character or with an active Electrogranum, you can quickly move directly to the sphere. Thus, you can significantly increase your travel speed around the world by regularly using Thunder Spheres. A special button will light up at the bottom of the screen whenever the hero can use the acceleration.
The first type of electricity-based puzzles are Thunder Barriers. They most often protect chests with rewards. To get inside, you need to activate the Electrogranum. The barriers can be either regular or enhanced. For the latter, you need a leveled-up Electrogranum, so you won't be able to open everything right away.
Very often, Thunderstones are under the protection of barriers. A charged Electrogranum can absorb part of the energy attack that the stones will direct at the character. Without an Electrogranum, you are unlikely to get close.
Anomalous zones with the highest amount of electrical energy are called Balethunder. While inside, characters will constantly take damage. Only an active Electrogranum can help you avoid instant death.
On your way, you may encounter small pedestals with pink stones. There are three types of such devices:
The task is to create an energy circuit. The working scheme is simple — you need to conduct the current from the Discharge Stone to the Cumulative Stone, connecting the starting and ending points with Relay Stones.
If you thought you would need to place the stones at the correct distance, you were right. Only with the correct placement will a constant current appear, and accordingly, the reward. Electro characters can also be used as conductors.
A movable statue with an arrow is called a Lightning Strike Probe. The device is needed to detect Electro-element concentrations. At the base of the statue, there is a direction. The arrow needs to be aligned with the marking at the base. This way, you will find not only Electro characters but also monsters with the required element.
To solve the cube puzzle — hit them until their special faces are aligned in one direction. Only then will the cubes light up and the task will be completed. In this case, there is no single algorithm of actions, so you will have to spend time selecting the sequence. In the end, all the cubes should light up with the same number of lines.
This puzzle somewhat resembles creating a circuit to transmit current. When you hit the Sacred Stone Mound, it shoots an energy pulse in a certain direction. The pulse hits the Thunderbearer Mirror, after which it can be redirected in any direction. There may be several such mirrors. The task is to turn them to the correct position.
This is not quite a puzzle, but rather a bonus that is not easy to obtain. While traveling through Inazuma, you may hear a strange melody standing out from the general background sounds. This means that a Bake-danuki is nearby. The creature will lead you to a reward. The difficulty lies in the fact that the Bake-danuki regularly changes its appearance, turning into plants or other inanimate objects. If you lose sight of it, finding the guide again will be very difficult.
Key To Some Places is one of the secrets of Inazuma. You need to find three keys to open the gates of the Tatarasuna Arsenal.
Before starting the search, remove the barrier in the center of Tatarasuna. This can be done during the world quest Tatara Tales.
To find the first key, go to the specified location on the map. Under the wooden bridge, there will be a small passage; enter it and you will find the treasure along with the key.
The second key is located nearby under a cliff. Be careful when jumping, as you may lose some health upon falling.
The third key is also not far away. You need to climb to the roof of the specified house.
Upon opening the arsenal, you will receive the following rewards:
The Unsealed Letter is an item that can be found under the skull of the Serpent's Head. It will be needed later for one of the quests.
Torn Pages can be collected during the exploration of Inazuma. There are three types in total:
Each type requires 10 pages. They will likely be useful in the future.
Simple Tombs are structures that can be found throughout Inazuma. There are six in total. Approaching any of them, you can offer a Dendrobium. Placing plants on all tombs will earn you the They Shall Not Grow Old achievement.
You won't be able to open the water dome in Jakotsu Mine until you start the quest Orobashi's Legacy. To do this, talk to Kaji in Fort Fujitou.
Once you progress through the story and reach Jakotsu Mine, you will have to solve a puzzle with the Sacred Stone Mound and Thunderbearer Mirrors.
Direct the charge using the mirrors in the direction indicated in the image and there will be no problems.
To start this small quest, find Takashi in Tatarasuna. He lives to the north in a huge shell hut. The character collects conches for trade and will gladly accept them from you. As a reward, you will be able to open three chests behind Takashi.
Mysterious Conches have a faint yellow-orange color. It is best to collect them on the shore near Takashi's hut.
The task repeats periodically, so if you want more rewards, don't hesitate to visit Takashi from time to time.
Inside one of the chests, you may get the Hamayumi weapon blueprint — a four-star bow that became available after update 2.0.
Go to the Grand Narukami Shrine. There you will find Gendou Ringo, next to whom is a box with bamboo sticks. Each such stick can be exchanged once a day for a fortune slip. Come every day until you get two hidden achievements:
While exploring Inazuma, you may come across an inconspicuous island with a large number of pots. No special task will appear. Break absolutely all the pots, after which a message will appear about the enemies calling for reinforcements. Very quickly, you will find a lone warrior who will immediately attack. After defeating him, you will receive a luxurious chest.
To get one of the richest chests on the island, you need to go to the tea shop in the city. You will definitely get there during a series of quests. A distinctive feature of the shop is the manager — a cute dog. If you try to go behind the counter, you will find a corridor. The chest will be there.
Kid Kujirai is the main character of the Temari Game quest. To find the child, head to Byakko Plain. He is standing behind the bushes, not far from the area's waypoint.
After winning the game from Kujirai, you will have the opportunity to meet him six more times. The sequence does not matter. All the places where you can meet the child:
Each meeting is a new game. After winning, you will receive a chest with 20 Primogems and 25,000 Mora.
On the outskirts of the city, there is an unremarkable house. Going behind it, you will find a secret hatch leading to a completely different location. You will find yourself in a camp where a mini-quest will start. Interact with three items, then watch the cutscene. As a reward, you will receive 20,000 Mora and some resources.
On the mountain, in the area of Fort Fujito, you can meet the pharmacist Yasumoto. He will ask you to bring 12 Naku Weeds. This is quite simple — the flowers grow on every island, and five of them can be bought in the shop. After completing the task, come to the pharmacist the next day. Protect him from the attack. Note — everything happens near Yasumoto's hut. Remember where it is located. Now you can come to the house once a day and leave 12 Naku Weeds in the bucket. The next day (after server reset), there will be a chest with a reward in place of the bucket. You can do this several times. After a while, the flowers will stop being taken.
If you find three of the pharmacist's diaries, you can get the achievement A Doctor's Odyssey, as well as the coordinates of the last chest. This will complete the task entirely.
Another regular task is located on Yashiori Island. Teleport to it and jump off the mountain using your wings. Glide to a small shrine located on a hill directly ahead. Near the shrine sits a samurai who will offer you to pray three times. During the interaction with the shrine, sparks (three) will appear, which will create a chest with a reward.
If you visit the samurai the next day (not in-game), the action can be repeated. You can do this several times until the dialogue with the samurai changes.
This secret represents a treasure hunt. However, the difficulty lies in the process. First, you need to find four lost texts. All of them are located on Yashiori Island.
The first one will be near Fort Fujito. Head north — you will have to glide onto unusual rock formations. Go a little further towards the sea and you will see a tent under an energy dome. You can't get inside even with an active electrogranum; you need to solve the mechanical cubes puzzle — turn them in one direction.
The second lost text will be near the Statue of The Seven. Move west from it towards the water. There will also be a tent there.
The third lost text should be searched for to the southwest of Musoujin Gorge. Find a small brown three-pronged mark on the map indicating a structure.
Players should search for the last lost text on the road to the southwest of the Serpent's Head. There you will also find a tent.
After reading all the texts, a mark of the island will appear on the map. There is almost nothing there except a lone rock. If the chest doesn't appear immediately, circle the rock clockwise. If that doesn't help, circle counterclockwise.
If the chest does not appear, you should contact support.
While traveling around Yashiori Island, you may notice electrified katanas sticking out of the ground. To interact with them, you will need electrogranum. After approaching one of the swords, samurais will appear, which you need to defeat to get a chest with a reward.
There are a total of 10 such katanas. Only after defeating all the samurais will you receive the secret achievement Circle of Life and Death.
There are several chests that are almost impossible to find without hints.
Head to the island near Fort Mumei. There, in a ruined tower, you can dig up the first of the chests.
A small island near the city will be interesting for two chests. You will find the first one on the shore. The second one will be under a lavender melon tree.
You won't get a big reward, but the chests will be exquisite.
Upon reaching Jinren Island, you will see many cages. In one of them, there will be a cute dog. However, to free it, you need to find the key.
Check the crates on the same island and you will definitely find it.
To get this secret achievement, you must first defeat seven samurais. They are all located at different ends of the area, so you might have encountered them by chance.
The first warrior is located at Fort Mumei.
The second fight awaits you a little south of Byakko Plain.
The third samurai will be near Jakotsu Mine.
The fourth place is in a cave southwest of Tatarasuna.
The fifth samurai awaits in a cave near the boss Perpetual Mechanical Array.
The sixth fight will be near Kujou Encampment. There you will meet the samurai Iwakura Koin. At first, he will not be aggressive, but after talking, you will still have to fight.
The seventh place is south of Byakko Plain. You have already been there, fighting the second samurai. This time, you will be met by two warriors at once. After defeating them, you can take the swords and leave them on the nearby mound. After this, you will receive a chest and the achievement.
A secret quest that requires visiting five shrines on Yashiori Island.
The first shrine is located in Higi Village.
The second shrine is located near Maguu Kenki.
The third shrine is located near the second one.
The fourth shrine is also located near the second one.
The fifth shrine will be near Chouji's house.
As soon as you visit all the required places, the achievement will be yours.
A standard puzzle with rotating cubes. You can find it in the eastern part of Watatsumi Island near Bourou Village. The difficulty lies in the fact that the task needs to be solved three times, sequentially using different combinations. To reset the puzzle, simply re-enter the game.
While in the correct position, hit the available cubes the number of times indicated in the screenshots. The type of weapon does not matter.
First combination:
Second combination:
Third combination:
For solving all three puzzles, you will receive two exquisite chests and one precious chest.
