In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players will face many mysteries and dangers, where the legendary artifact Weir Flower holds a special place. This item not only contains valuable properties but is also surrounded by the mystical aura of the anomalous zone. In this guide, we will detail where to find the Weir Flower, what obstacles you may encounter along the way, and how to prepare for exploring the anomaly.

This artifact can be found in the region of the Small Zone, in its northwestern part, where a mysterious anomaly Poppy Field awaits you. This place, despite its beauty, holds many dangers and unusual effects that influence the perception of the surrounding world.

Once you reach the specified marker on the map, the Poppy Field will appear before you. As soon as you step onto its territory, the anomaly will immediately begin to act, and Skif, unable to resist, will start to fall asleep. However, despite all the dangers, it can be confidently said that among all the legendary artifacts, this one is the easiest to obtain.

To successfully explore the Poppy Field anomaly, you should prepare. It is recommended to take a few energy drinks with you, which will help restore strength in case of anomaly exposure. You can purchase them at the nearest Zalesye bar from Kolduin. But if you don't have the necessary drinks or coupons to buy them, don't panic — you can manage without them, although additional supplies can significantly ease the task.

Stepping onto the Poppy Field, your character will not receive direct damage, but the main threat of this anomaly lies in its strong physical impact. With each step, your eyes will gradually close, the image will become blurry, and your movements will become increasingly difficult. This will continue until the screen goes completely dark, and the hero is teleported to a random location.

Even if you drink energy drinks, it won't give you a significant advantage if you don't know the exact location where you can find the Weir Flower. Its location is always the same, but under the influence of the anomaly, when the protagonist's vision and coordination are impaired, and considering the vastness of the location, it will be extremely difficult for a newcomer to find it.

The path to this place is the only one, as the poppy field is surrounded by a river, making it impossible to approach from the other side. When you reach the right place, stand between the two houses located outside the anomaly. Then approach the house on the right, go around it from the back, and near the hill, you will find the artifact.

After you take the artifact, immediately drink an energy drink and move back without stopping to avoid teleportation. In this case, there is a chance that the anomaly will move Skif closer to the edge of the effect or, on the contrary, throw him onto the roof of one of the houses.

Then quickly leave the field without wasting time, otherwise, the anomaly may relocate you to a random place again. It is worth noting that when you are safe, in three out of four cases of our playthrough, several mutants attacked the player. We recommend taking cover in one of the houses outside the field and shooting the mutants from inside.

The artifact has a unique ability. When you equip it on your belt, it gives you a small advantage: enemy NPCs will not be able to detect you while sleeping, as the flower masks your scent. Ironically, despite such masking, you will not be able to sleep anywhere, as each bed is located in a safe zone. Ideally, the artifact should also simplify stealth, but so far this mechanic in the game works extremely poorly.
