Mavuika is a five-star Pyro claymore user in Genshin Impact, set to release in the first phase of update 5.3. Mavuika is the Archon of Natlan. In this guide, we will discuss how to build and enhance her, including the best weapons, artifacts, and characters suited for her.
Mavuika is one of the seven Archons of Teyvat and the current leader of Natlan. She has traveled 500 years into the future from her time to execute a plan to save her country from the Abyss. Although she is human, she possesses divine power.
Normal Attack Fire Weaves Life: The heroine performs up to four consecutive strikes with her claymore against enemies. During a charged attack, she expends a certain amount of stamina to deliver a powerful blow to enemies in front of her. In a plunging attack, Mavuika leaps to the ground, dealing damage to opponents within a certain radius.
Elemental Skill Named Moment: Mavuika's E skill has two modes depending on the button press. With a quick press, the Archon summons a Ring of Scorching Radiance that follows the active character and periodically deals Pyro damage to enemies.
During a long activation, Mavuika mounts her flame cycle. With this device, she can traverse air, water, and mountains. In combat, the Archon wields her claymore while mounted on the mechanism. During this time, all her attacks gain a Pyro infusion that cannot be overridden by other effects. Mavuika can remain in this state until the gauge on the left is fully depleted.
Elemental Burst Hour of Blazing Heavens: Mavuika has a unique way of charging her ultimate, which depends not on energy but on the characteristics of the so-called Battle Spirit. Once she accumulates at least 50% of this characteristic, the heroine can activate her elemental burst. Battle Spirit points can be accumulated in two ways:
After activating the ultimate, Mavuika mounts the flame cycle again and attacks enemies on the ground with Pyro damage from the air, then enters the Crucible of Death and Life state. During this stance, the Night Spirit gauge is not consumed, her resistance to interruption increases, and the damage of attacks during her E skill is enhanced.
Passive Talent #1 Gift of Night's Possession: Exhaustion Mode. After spending Night Spirit points (the gauge on the left), Mavuika switches to phlogiston. Additionally, when the active character is in the air, climbing, or swimming (in the Natlan territory), the Night Spirit Transfer can be activated, allowing her to immediately mount the flame cycle upon switching to her, just like in the elemental skill. This effect can be triggered once every 10 seconds.
Passive Talent #2 Gift of Fiery Flowers. When squad members activate the Night Spirit Flash, Mavuika's attack power increases by 30 points for 10 seconds.
Passive Talent #3 Kiongosi. After activating the ultimate, the active character's damage increases by 0.2% for each Battle Spirit point present at the time of activation.
Core of the Mysterious Source with Golden Inscription — a resource obtained from the daily boss Automaton of the Mysterious Source: Configurator. It can be found in the territory of the People of the Springs tribe in Natlan.
Dry Purplestone — a Pyro region curiosity. It looks like a pale blue flower with yellow patterns on the petals. It grows individually in Ochkanatlan.
Shards, Fragments, Chunks, and Agnidus Agate Gems — materials dropped from daily (such as Pyro Hypostasis) and weekly bosses (Signora).
Wooden Watchman's Whistle, Metal Warrior's Whistle, Golden Whistle of the Crowned Zaurian Warrior — items dropped from Zaurian-like warriors of Natlan.
Teachings, Guides, and Philosophies of Rivalry — these books are obtained in the Fiery Ruins dungeon on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Decayed Horn — a resource from the weekly boss Gosoytota, the Abyss Incarnation in Natlan.
A Thousand Dazzling Suns — Mavuika's signature weapon, suitable for her in any position, whether as the main DPS build or a sub-DPS setup. The sword has one of the highest base attack values, gives a significant boost to crit rate as a secondary stat, and its passive increases crit damage, allowing the focus on other stats for the Archon.
Redhorn Stonethresher — Arataki Itto's signature claymore, which is no less useful for Mavuika. The two-handed sword can offer a large increase to her crit damage. Considering that this stat significantly increases with her level-up, combined with this claymore, the value can exceed 170%, not counting the boost from artifacts. The weapon's passive is not particularly useful for the Archon, but otherwise, the sword is an ideal replacement for the signature weapon.
Wolf's Gravestone — a legendary rarity two-handed sword from the standard banner that can significantly enhance Mavuika's attack power and her allies'. With this weapon, you can focus on acquiring other stats. The claymore can be considered an excellent alternative to the previous two weapons, although it is somewhat less useful.
Dragonbone Sword — the best epic equipment option for Mavuika. This two-handed sword from the Battle Pass significantly boosts the heroine's crit chance and overall damage. However, it has a significant drawback: when the girl is on the battlefield, she should not take damage to prevent stacks that increase damage from resetting. Otherwise, the claymore, especially at the final level of Awakening, is not inferior in strength to the first two weapons.
Earthshaker — a great epic rarity two-handed sword for F2P players. It can be crafted in the forge with all awakenings, squeezing the maximum power out of the sword. It does not increase crits but boosts attack power and skill damage. The claymore suits Mavuika well in the role of a secondary damage dealer, as the weapon also increases Pyro reaction damage.
Obsidian Tome — the best set for Mavuika, which increases damage in the Night Spirit's Blessing state and additionally boosts crit chance by 40% for spending one point from the scale. Thanks to the set's effects, there's no need to look for this stat in separate pieces, allowing focus on acquiring other stats.
Twilight Court Hunter — the second most useful artifact set if Mavuika will play with Furina or periodically take damage. The first part of the set increases normal and charged attack damage, while the other additionally buffs crit chance. It's worth noting that this set does not pair well with the Dragonbone Sword.
Mavuika synergizes best with characters from Natlan due to the special mechanic of ultimate charge accumulation. Thus, she is quite dependent on her compatriots, especially those who actively spend Night Spirit points. Let's consider examples of the best teams for Mavuika:
In such a team, each hero's skills are aimed at enhancing Mavuika's own damage: Furina or Mona will distribute useful buffs and apply Hydro status to enemies, Shilon will allow faster ultimate charge and remove resistances from enemies, and Bennett or Jean will provide healing to the heroine and offer additional boosts.
In this setup, Mavuika is also the main damage dealer, but in addition to her, Hydro applicators Yelan or Xingqiu deal additional damage, simultaneously applying status to enemies and attacking alongside the Pyro Archon. For ultimate charge and defense reduction of enemies, Shilon can be retained, but in addition, Zhongli can be added to provide shielding.
