Assassin's Creed Shadows: Way of the Blacksmith Walkthrough

The Way of the Blacksmith is the ninth main quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows. We will describe all the mission objectives. We provide a detailed walkthrough of the mission and share useful tips.

Here, the game introduces you to the Target Board. In Assassin's Creed Shadows, there is a special board displaying all the important characters of the game. Quests related to the storyline appear under the thumbnails of these characters. For now, this tutorial allows interaction with only one quest. Go to the League section on the map (marked with the Assassins' symbol) and select the quest marker under Tomiko. The game will automatically exit the menu. Read the information in the upper left corner of the screen to learn the target's location:

Note: "He is located southwest of Izumi Settsu, in Sakai, east of Sakai Port."

This information points you to Sakai — a city located on the coast southwest of the Shelter. Scroll the map down to Sakai, press the button to send a scout. If done correctly, a blue quest marker will appear on the map.

Useful scouting tips:

Now head to Sakai and explore the area. Upon reaching the marker, you will find yourself in an investigation zone. Scan the area. Your next destination is the street to the southwest.

Proceed until you see two guards by a lantern. Remember: enemies can be highlighted. Then turn west into the alley. Use Eagle Vision to mark four enemies behind the wall to the south.

Now you need to return to the Shelter. Before that, we recommend visiting the Nanbansen ship:

Now use fast travel to the Shelter and build the forge.

After this, open the Assassins' Board and select the "Way of the Blacksmith" quest to complete the task.
