Assassin's Creed: Shadows Delayed Again. New Release Date Announced

Ubisoft has announced another delay for Assassin's Creed: Shadows. The release has now been pushed from February 14th to March 20th. The company cites the need for additional development time.

Speculation online suggests that the delay might also be due to increased competition. February is already packed with the releases of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Avowed, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and Sid Meier's Civilization 7.

Assassin's Creed: Shadows is set to be an open-world action RPG and the latest main entry in the series. The game is set in feudal Japan, with a story focusing on the kunoichi Naoe and the samurai Yasuke. A key feature of the game is its seasonal weather system, which will have a dynamic impact on gameplay. Assassin's Creed: Shadows is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec on the Ubisoft Anvil engine for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, macOS, and iPadOS. It will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Ubisoft Store.
