Ubisoft Celebrates Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown's First Anniversary With New Trailer
Ubisoft has dropped a new trailer for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown to mark the game's first anniversary. Released on January 18th, 2024, the trailer showcases critical acclaim, featuring review scores and quotes.
Since its launch, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has received several free updates, adding new challenges, costumes, and game modes, as well as a paid story expansion, Mask of Darkness, which continues the narrative after the game's ending. Rumors suggest that Ubisoft was underwhelmed by the game's sales, leading to the disbandment of the development team.
Meanwhile, last May saw the Early Access launch of The Rogue Prince of Persia on Steam, a new entry in the franchise developed by an external studio. Despite a strong 85% positive review score, the game struggled to attract players, peaking at a mere 849 concurrent users.
It's worth noting that a remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is also currently in development.
