Rumor: New Metro Game Details Emerge

The Around-Builds Metro community has shared new information about the upcoming Metro title from 4A Games. The information is unofficial and should be taken as a rumor.
Details include:
- The game's events will take place in the fall;
- There will be more weapons than in Metro Exodus;
- One of the levels will be the size of the Caspian level from Metro Exodus;
- The shooter will feature large and engaging side quests;
- Players will start the game on the surface;
- The story and main script are being handled by writer Dmitry Glukhovsky;
- Artem Litvinenko (a developer from Metro Exodus) is working on the weapon animations;
- Evgeny Fedorets is the creative director (he has been with the studio since 2008);
- The project is being developed on an enhanced version of the 4A Engine;
- According to the source, the game looks better than S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
The community previously reported that the game will not feature an open world. The developers abandoned this concept in 2022, restarting the project's development. More details can be found here.
