NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 tested in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

TechSpot has gotten its hands on the highly anticipated RTX 5090 and put it through its paces with several demanding titles, including S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, one of 2024's most graphically intensive games.

The website shared the test results via a series of images. At 1440p resolution with Epic graphics settings, the RTX 5090 averaged 94 FPS. For comparison, last-gen's flagship, the RTX 4090, managed 77 FPS. In 4K resolution, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 ran at 71 FPS on the RTX 5090, while the RTX 4090 hit 50 FPS. The testing rig was powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor.

TechSpot also benchmarked a slew of other recent games.
