Japan Seems Fine with Assassin's Creed: Shadows — PS5 Version Ranks #2 on Amazon Japan

Despite accusations of disrespecting Japanese culture, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows appears to be a hit in Japan. As spotted by Tech4Gamers, the game is performing exceptionally well on Amazon Japan.
Currently, pre-orders for Shadows hold the second spot on the list of best-selling PlayStation 5 games. The title sits between Monster Hunter Wilds and the upcoming anime-inspired RPG Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land.
On the Xbox Series X/S charts, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows ranks 11th, just behind the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.
In the U.S., the PS5 and Xbox versions of Shadows hold the first and third spots on Amazon’s best-sellers list, respectively.
As for Steam’s top sellers, the game currently sits in seventh place (excluding Counter-Strike 2 and Steam Deck sales).
Reviews from journalists are set to drop tomorrow, with the game officially launching on March 20.
