The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Turns 19 — Bethesda Celebrates with a Sweet Roll

Yesterday marked the 19th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion! The iconic RPG, which followed the legendary Morrowind, was originally released on March 20, 2006.
To celebrate the occasion, Bethesda shared a special card featuring a sweet roll. Meanwhile, Skyrim, which had its anniversary last fall, didn’t get the same treatment—fueling speculation that the studio is preparing to announce an Oblivion remake.
Rumors of the remake have been circulating for a couple of years, ever since details emerged during Microsoft’s legal battle with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission over its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The project is reportedly being developed by Virtuos, featuring upgraded Unreal Engine 5 visuals and a reworked combat system inspired by Soulslike games.
According to journalists and insiders, the remake is expected to launch as early as April.
