The Last of Us Season 2 Will Feature an Episode in the Spirit of Bill and Frank's Story

The creators of The Last of Us are expanding the narrative of Season 2. According to Craig Mazin, one of the upcoming episodes will have a tone reminiscent of the Bill and Frank episode from Season 1.
Mazin didn’t share specific details but hinted that the episode will be something special. Most likely, it will focus on Yoshin, a lone patrolman from Jackson whom Ellie and Dina mention at the beginning of the game.
One thing that Neil and I talked about was just making sure that we didn't just say, 'Oh, like the Bill and Frank episode. People really like that. Let's do a very special episode of The Last of Us season 2.' It just has to happen as it happens. But I will say that there is a gorgeous episode in the season, directed by Neil, that is different — it's not Bill and Frank, but it is, in its own way, its own thing, because it needed to be and just you wait. Just you wait.
The Last of Us Season 2 premieres April 13. The show’s creators have recently released a final trailer along with a series of character posters.
