Battlefield 6 finally fixes infamous drone–sledgehammer exploit
A new update for Battlefield 6 — version 1.1.1.5 — has just been released, and it finally patches the now-legendary exploit involving a drone and a sledgehammer. Players were able to launch themselves into the air and reach areas that were never meant to be accessible. The bug was discovered back in mid-October, but the fix only arrived now.
The patch also addresses several other major issues. Previously, guided missiles could still hit targets even after flares were deployed, vehicles sometimes failed to spawn in Breakthrough and Conquest, and progression systems could stop working correctly. The full patch notes are available on X.
Dataminers recently uncovered that Battlefield 6’s post-launch roadmap includes at least nine game modes — among them classic Gunmaster and something called Fantastic Four, which appears to be a reference to the Marvel superhero team.
At the end of October, DICE launched the game’s first season, and Battlefield 6 also received a free battle royale mode. The reception so far has been mixed.
