Ultrakill: Layer 8 "Fraud" Release Window Confirmed
The wait for more high-octane carnage is almost over. New Blood Interactive has announced that Ultrakill will receive its massive Layer 8: Fraud update next week. According to the official announcement, the patch is scheduled to drop between February 23 and March 1.
Visually, Fraud takes a sharp turn from the "ancient" aesthetics of previous layers. The new environment is a massive cylindrical space designed to resemble a distorted, hellish version of a modern city, providing a haunting contrast to Hell's deeper architecture.
In addition to the content drop, the developers confirmed that Ultrakill will go on sale on Steam starting February 23, making it the perfect time for new players to dive in.
For those unfamiliar, Ultrakill is a fast-paced "boomer shooter" that blends the DNA of Quake and DOOM with the stylish combat of Devil May Cry. Set in a future where humanity is extinct, players control V1 — a combat machine fueled entirely by fresh blood. With the Earth's surface depleted, V1 and other machines have descended into the depths of Hell in a desperate search for fuel.
