An Unsettling Encounter: Dragon's Dogma 2 Walkthrough Guide

This guide will help you tackle the «An Unsettling Encounter» quest in Dragon's Dogma 2, where players must infiltrate a bureaucrat's quarters to discover a hidden room containing crucial evidence. The walkthrough will guide you through each step, offering tips on how to access the quarters stealthily and locate the secret room efficiently. You'll learn the best strategies to avoid detection and ensure success in retrieving the needed clues to progress your adventure.

How to complete the quest An Unsettling Encounter

Return to the captain and select the option «Tell me the rumors about Allard» to start the quest. Brant will tell you that Sven can distract the high priest while you inspect his quarters for clues.

Wait until nighttime and head to the castle through the Nobility Quarter, where the captain's man will meet you. He will again lead you to a side entrance, but it would also be wise to wear courtier's attire in advance.

By the way, once inside the castle, don't forget to check the throne room. Behind the throne, there is a painted chest (heraldic cloak).

Go through the kitchen and turn right twice to reach the staircase. Go upstairs and run on the right side. Here you will hear Allard talking to a guard. Move to a safe distance and wait for them to leave. If you stay by the door, the high priest will notice you, and the guard will attack.

How to search Allard's quarters

When you enter the minister's quarters, you likely won't find anything at first glance. The room is small, and there are no highlighted items here. However, if you look at the wall on the left, you can notice a door camouflaged as stone. Just approach it, and the protagonist will open it automatically.

In the small secret room, you will find a letter with the Battal crest. Later, when you return to Brant, he will tell you about this state.

As soon as you leave the secret room, you'll hear Allard's voice in the corridor. Jump through the window and run along the path to the right. If you check the bench on the left, you can find a bag with a precious stone.

When you return, you'll meet Wilhelmina, who will save the hero from the guards. Hand over the letter you found to the captain to complete the quest and receive the following rewards: 5500 gold, an accumulation ring, 1200 experience points.
