A retro gaming handheld in the style of the Nintendo Switch has been unveiled
Retro Handhelds has announced the Sjgam M20 Pro, a portable gaming console designed for retro enthusiasts. The device features a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels, detachable controllers, and a dock for HDMI TV output.
Powered by a Rockchip RK3566 processor paired with a Mali-G52 GPU, the console includes 4GB of DDR4 RAM and just 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via a memory card. The Sjgam M20 Pro runs on the Linux-based EmuELEC 4.3 operating system, supporting more than 30 emulators for platforms such as PS1, PSP, and N64.
The console's design is strikingly reminiscent of the Nintendo Switch, a recurring trend in Retro Handhelds' product lineup. Alongside the detachable controllers, the package includes two light guns and additional gamepads that resemble the PS5 DualSense controllers.
The device is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, which might struggle to sustain long gaming sessions. While the console offers a range of retro gaming options and accessories, its outdated specifications may hinder its appeal in an increasingly competitive market. As of now, pricing and availability details for the Sjgam M20 Pro have not been disclosed.
