Собственно, путешествия за последние годы превратились из осознанного и честно о желания отдохнуть в попытку купить себе социальный статус, в предмет роскоши и понтов. Фоточки в инстаграмме, зависть окружающих, выглядеть успешным — все вот это.
Собственною попытаюсь пояснить, что последнее отдыхом не является в энциклопедическом понимании этого слова, да и просто любому человеку очевидно, что в Лондон не едут отдыхать — это деловой центр страны, а не курорт. В Лондон едут за понтами, ведь сам факт посещения его — позволит выпендриваться им пожизненно, и ставить себя выше других в глазах поверхностных людей. По сути путешествия стали тем же, что и покупка айфона — не очень дорогой способ повысить свой статус и заработать некую ачивку, и некоторые люди в попытке компенсировать, например, низкий рост — увлекаются этим настолько, что покупают не только Порше, которым не будут пользоваться, но и еженедельно меняют и страну проживания, ездить по столицам европейских государств и смотреть на немного другую плитку, вместо того чтобы уважать себя и позволить себе поехать в менее статусные, но по настоящему красивые и приятные места. Как Тайланд, Турция, Египет. Бразилия очень красива, но вокруг нее нет такого же ареола статусности как вокруг засранного делового города тип Нью Йорка. И можно 5 раз посетить этот город, но так никогда и не побывать в Рио. Можно объездить пол мира, но так и не выучить как же называется соседняя улица в твоём городе, и ни разу не посмотреть на достопримечательности в нем. Ведь этим не повыпендриваешься среди своих — это не дифицитно, это всем легко доступно. А путешествуешь ты ради понтов, как те самые "мажоры".
