Assassin's Creed Shadows: Spring and Fall Walkthrough

Spring and Fall is the forty-fifth main quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows. This guide will help you through all stages of the mission.

Open the Objectives Board, go to the Shinbakufu category, then Nobility, and select the quest under the name Ukita Naoie. Head west of Himeji Castle to speak with Kuroda Kanbei. This area is marked as hostile, but there will be no resistance. Kuroda Kanbei will start a dialogue:

To progress the story, you need to choose We are ready.

After the cutscene, you can decide whether to play as Yasuke or Naoe. There are many battles in this quest, so think carefully about whom to choose. Later in the mission, there will be more points where you can switch characters.

When you gain control of your character, head deeper into the castle.

Move east until you encounter shinobi. At the fork, go up the stairs and enter the door in front of you. If playing as Naoe, you can simply climb over the wall. Continue east until the path turns north. Fight enemies along the way; allies will help you. Repel the next wave of opponents, then break through the blocked door.

Behind the door, three enemies await you, including a Ukita officer. Defeat them all. After this, interact with the door to proceed further. Inside, there will be another opportunity to switch characters.

Inside, you will face many enemies. To secure control over the honmaru, you need to eliminate everyone. After the last enemy, a cutscene will start and there will be another chance to switch characters.

Climb the tenshu to eliminate Ukita Naoie. Ascend the tower:

At the end, you will find Ukita Naoie. You will have another character selection; Yasuke is better suited here, as the fight will be open. A dialogue choice will appear:

The choice does not affect the story, but the second option adds a bit of emotional depth.

During the fight, Ukita Naoie will throw a smoke bomb, after which two shinobi will join him. Kill them first, then refocus on Naoie. If the fight drags on, he will summon more shinobi. If the boss has a skull icon, the fight will be tough. If necessary, you can exit the quest through the pause menu and level up inside activities.

After your victory, a moral choice will appear:

Regardless of your choice, he dies anyway.

Then, another dialogue choice:

The lines differ, but the story will proceed the same way in any case. In the end, you will again be able to choose a character to continue. The Spring and Fall quest is complete!
