This mod adds the Nitro Boost ability to BeamNG.drive, allowing any vehicle to receive a temporary nitrous-powered speed boost. While active, the vehicle gains a significant acceleration increase, and the nitro meter gradually depletes before automatically recharging when the boost is released.
Features:
- Nitro Boost system for all vehicles;
- Approximately 2× acceleration boost;
- Rechargeable nitro meter;
- Customizable UI app for the nitro gauge.
How to Use:
- Press and hold K to activate Nitro Boost;
- To display the nitro gauge, open UI Apps → Add UI App → Nitro Boost and place it anywhere on the screen.
Changes in Version 1.2:
- Added nitrous flame effects from the exhaust during boost;
- Added selectable flame colors (blue, orange, purple, green, and cyan);
- Added tire smoke when activating Nitro Boost;
- Added a subtle field-of-view expansion effect while boosting;
- Added dedicated nitro activation and release sounds;
- Added a flash animation on the nitro gauge when activated;
- Added flame color settings;
- Added separate toggles for flames, smoke, and the FOV effect.
Installation:
- Download the mod archive and move it to: C:\Users\UserNAME\Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods.
