Based on the Barrier Island map, heavily modified, perfect for building a massive city.

vast areas for development, plots of flat land, but not entirely flat;
the entire map consists of either fertile lands or deposits of ore or oil;
large forests, but not too many to avoid reducing performance (in v2 they are mostly covered with forests);
numerous underground water sources;
complete overhaul of the road and rail network;
starting position changed to be closer to the coastline.
