Real-time strategy (RTS)
Real-time strategy is one of the most popular genres of games, in which the gamer becomes a general of an entire army or a confidant of the chosen state. In RTS strategies, all actions take place in real time: construction, unit battles, resource extraction and everything else happens without moves and the ability to endlessly think through your actions.
In real-time strategies, you need to engage in microcontrol: literally working on several things at once, be it gathering military forces or creating new buildings to develop your own base.
