This hockey simulation presents NHL games in the style of an ESPN broadcast and lets players compete for a title in skill challenges. Gary Thorne and Bill Clement provide play-by-play and color commentary, while on-screen statistics and graphics recreate elements of a televised sports broadcast.

Alongside full games, the game features NHL All-Star skills events and mini-games, including fast-paced two-on-two hockey on a smaller rink, pond hockey, and other skill challenges.
