This turn-based role-playing game with roguelike elements follows Chocobo and Cid, treasure hunters who arrive in a mysterious town. With every toll of the clocktower bell, its residents lose their memories, while a boy named Raffaello creates dungeons tied to those memories. Chocobo explores the labyrinths to recover what the townspeople have forgotten.

Combat draws on jobs from the Final Fantasy series, including knight, black mage, and white mage. Hidden letters found during the adventure can be arranged into phrases that unlock secret dungeons and jobs. The game also features card battles against friends and arcade-style minigames at Mog House.
