Grand Theft Auto IV is a good game on one hand, but a bad one on the other.

GTA 4 for me is better than the fifth part due to the fact that the four have - 1. A busy street, that is, for example, when one person is reading a newspaper and the other is cleaning up the trash with a broom 2. The Euphoria engine in which there is ragdoll! (which is better than in the five) 3. Convenient controls 4. Good graphics 5. Interesting plot 6. The cops in the four are smarter than in the five because they don’t push the car from behind like in the five, but on the contrary they try to make a box and stop you. The game from the Rockstar games studio primarily pleases with the active use of third-party languages: Serbian and Russian. In addition, I really liked the joy stations Vladivostok FM and Independence FM (this is a custom radio station). A very good plot, but optimization... GTA IV is the first game in the series with choice in the story, in the HD universe. This is also the first game in the series developed on its own engine - RAGE. The combat in the game has been reworked, the system of shelters and aimless shooting from it, visiting various places alone, or with your friends during the game whom you are introduced to or you get to know yourself.

I can't recommend the game because the PC port of the game itself is terrible. Everyone already knows about FPS drops and texture bugs, but the gameplay bugs, which are already 10 years old, have not been fixed. The most famous bug is that in the last task Niko cannot get into the helicopter. Because of this, I could not beat the game four times; the solution in my case was to set the graphics settings to maximum. It wasn’t me who came up with the solution to the problem, I just found the problem on the Internet and saw threads on forums that were already nine to ten years old.

You can only recommend the game if you are immediately ready for such fun. And by the way, there is Russian in the game)

I played GTA 4 on a friend's Xbox 360 console with inconvenient playability, but this month (August 2024) I was able to enjoy the game myself and there are pros and cons; 1 the atmosphere is not very gloomy, 2 the plot is a little confusing, but interesting, 3 does not require powerful hardware even for that time. Although my laptop does not meet the minimum system requirements, GTA 4 launched without any problems on 1 core processor, delivering 9-10 fps in the city day and night.

I listened to the new tracks and liked them more. This is cool, consider it a reason to play.

Even after playing 5, I will say that 4 is the best in terms of physics, atmosphere, plot, but there are things that were certainly missing. + 2dls came out, which none of the parts can boast of.

I could give it the highest possible score just because of the physics: it's divine! Just tripping over bodies awakens my sadistic pleasure in me!!

The plot - although it is not for everyone, the presence of “non-linearity” and “semantic load” in it makes it quite good for games of this type.
