Mafia 2

Mafia 2 is an interesting game. It has excellent shooting and perfectly captures America in the 40s and early 50s. The music is simply fantastic!!! And I would be even more happy... but alas, no. Let's talk about the plot. He's... interesting in the first half of the game. Until he goes to prison. The missions are done quite well. Especially the mission with coupons. First you need to sneak into the building unnoticed and steal the coupons. You steal and go to Henry's. But then it suddenly turns out that the coupons will soon no longer be valid and you need to have time to sell them to the gas stationers, otherwise it’s a lost cause. Seriously, very cool mission. I would like to see more missions like this, but alas. In the second half of the game, the missions become completely uninteresting! The only mission that interested me was when you need to get to one place and kill Thomas Angello, the main character of the first game. And the beginning of the mission is cool, but then there’s some darkness. In general, the plot left strange feelings. At first you are interested in following the heroes and their actions, but then you say: When is the end of the game?! Speaking of characters. The main character Vito is an unemotional idiot. I don’t understand how you can empathize with this person??? He's just no good. The secondary characters are not memorable at all... oh well, Joe is good, no doubt about it. But others don't. I also want to say about Russian localization... what, excuse me, is this crap? Why in a game that was included in the Guinness Book of Records as a game in which a lot of obscenities were uttered, do the characters say: Mother, Damn, Your left, etc.? They seem like mafiosi, but they speak like children in front of their parents. The voices were chosen well, I don’t argue, but God... What more can I say? The graphics are still pretty good in 2020. The music, as I said, is great. The management is excellent. The world... empty and uninteresting. I mean, driving around the city is pleasant, but the city itself is kind of made of cardboard. In the end, what can I say about the second Mafia? She is neither fish nor fowl. This is a game that I will not replay. Unfortunately, but what can you do? Well, I will say that this is MY personal opinion. If you liked the game, then great. But not really for me.
