An unofficial Russian translation for Mewgenics. The translation was done using Google Translate and may contain inaccuracies.

How it works:

The installer patches resources.gpak — the game's resource archive on the Glaiel Engine. It creates a backup (resources.gpak.bak) before patching. When deleted, it restores the original.
All text CSV files (16,000+ lines) have been translated: abilities, items, dialogues, events, mutations, furniture descriptions, weather, etc.

Known issues:

Machine translation — some phrases sound unnatural.
Ability names may be translated literally (Groom → Bride instead of Fur Grooming).
The font may visually differ from the original.

Installation:

Extract the downloaded archive to any folder.
Run install_ru.exe.
The installer will automatically find the game and apply the translation.

Uninstallation:

Run uninstall_ru.exe — original files will be restored from the backup.
Alternatively: check the integrity of files through Steam.

After updating the game:

Steam may overwrite files. Just run install_ru.exe again.

Как это работает:

Установщик патчит resources.gpak — архив ресурсов игры на движке Glaiel Engine. Создаёт бэкап (resources.gpak.bak) перед патчем. При удалении восстанавливает оригинал.
Переведены все текстовые CSV-файлы (16,000+ строк): способности, предметы, диалоги, события, мутации, описания мебели, погода и т.д.

Известные проблемы:

Машинный перевод — некоторые фразы звучат неестественно.
Имена способностей могут быть переведены буквально (Groom → Жених вместо Уход за шерстью).
Шрифт может визуально отличаться от оригинального.
