This casual puzzle-action game centers on destroying self-replicating nanobots in the aftermath of a war against intelligent machines. A survivor skilled at hacking machine cores is approached by ADNA, a sentient program seeking help. By eliminating nanobots, the survivor can trigger a chain reaction that shuts down the machines.
In Nanobots, the player moves a cursor and uses a magnetic pulse to destroy nearby robots. Other abilities create an electric field, expand the pulse’s area, infect newly replicated robots with malware, delay their activity cycles, or temporarily divide the play area with high-energy beams. Each level requires reducing the nanobot population to zero before moving on, since even one survivor can replicate. The game has 60 levels.
