My friend and I finally finished Remnant: From the Ashes. We abandoned the second game, and yes, I still prefer the first one.
The game is simpler than the sequel, and that's its advantage: fewer tables, faster to the point. With two players, it's a lively, dark shooter where you can yell at the boss and laugh five minutes later. But that's pretty much where the good stuff ends. The plot is cobbled together from scraps and cliches, the base barely lives, the characters say one line and then freeze. The worlds are "random," but in reality, they often consist of the same corridors, empty chunks, and the feeling that the generator simply shuffled the boxes.

Игра проще сиквела, и в этом её плюс: меньше таблиц, быстрее до сути. Вдвоём это живой тёмный шутер, где можно орать на босса и через пять минут смеяться. На этом хорошее почти заканчивается. Сюжет склеен из обрывков и штампов, база почти не живёт, персонажи говорят одну реплику и замирают. Миры «случайные», но на деле часто одни и те же коридоры, пустые куски и ощущение, что генератор просто перетасовал коробки.
