Root Film is a mystery adventure about aspiring filmmaker Rintaro Yagumo and actress Riho, who investigate a series of bizarre murders in Shimane Prefecture. Rintaro is set to work on a TV series tied to a mystery drama whose production was cancelled ten years earlier for an unknown reason. The Intuition mechanic reveals keywords during conversations; once enough have been found, players can use them in Max Mode, a fighting-game-style showdown where characters are confronted to solve the mystery.
