Star Drifter is an arcade space shooter built around battles with alien enemies and a high level of difficulty. Enemies, power-ups, secret weapons and large bosses are generated randomly, changing the encounters from one run to the next.

Destroying enemies and surviving earns points and levels up the pilot. Points can be spent in the shop to upgrade the ship and equip defensive systems and different weapons. While the ship’s shields regenerate, the pilot can leave the ship and attack the aliens on foot.
