Definitive Engine.ini configuration for Star Wars Zero Company designed to eliminate stuttering, boost overall framerates, decrease input latency, and enhance visual clarity with zero visual fidelity loss.
Includes fine-tuned Unreal Engine optimizations across CPU/GPU scheduling, RAM management, and SSD asset streaming, while stripping out intrusive post-processing artifacts (Film Grain, Chromatic Aberration) and reducing DLSS/FSR ghosting and shimmering.
Key Optimizations:
- Performance & Stability: Removes frame stutters and levels out frametime spikes for a smooth gameplay experience.
- Lower Input Latency: Optimized render queues for immediate input response.
- Enhanced Visual Clarity: Disables Film Grain and Chromatic Aberration; refines Motion Blur to prevent smearing.
- Upscaler & AA Refinements: Mitigates DLSS/FSR temporal artifacts, edge shimmering, and ghosting trails.
- Lossless Quality: Pure engine-level optimizations without degrading textures, asset quality, or rendering distances.
Which Variant to Choose (VRR vs No VRR)?
- VRR Variant: Choose this if Variable Refresh Rate (NVIDIA G-Sync or AMD FreeSync) is enabled both in your GPU Control Panel and in your monitor/TV on-screen display settings.
- No VRR Variant: Choose this if G-Sync / FreeSync is disabled or unsupported by your display.
Installation (Windows):
- Launch the game once and close it.
- Press Win + R, paste the following directory path, and press Enter:
%localappdata%\SWZeroCompany\Saved\Config\Windows - Place the modded Engine.ini into this folder (overwrite if prompted).
- Right-click the newly pasted Engine.ini → Properties → check the "Read-Only" attribute → click Apply / OK.
Installation (Linux / Steam Deck):
- Paste the Engine.ini file into:
<SteamLibrary-folder>/steamapps/compatdata/2075800/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/SWZeroCompany/Saved/Config/Windows. - Ensure the file attribute is set to Read-only.
Uninstallation:
- Simply delete the modified Engine.ini. The game will regenerate a clean default configuration on its next launch.
Note: Do not combine this configuration with any other third-party optimization mods.
