A one-on-one fighting game built around a series of rounds between distinctive fighters. Street Fighter II lets players choose a character with an individual fighting style and set of moves, including special attacks performed with command inputs. The combat system also features combos and a six-button control scheme.
Fights take place against computer-controlled opponents or another player. Victory is decided by remaining health at the end of a round or by knockout; if neither fighter has a clear advantage, additional rounds can follow.
