A navigation and HUD enhancement mod Cartur's Compass and Clock for Valheim that introduces a Skyrim-style horizontal compass bar across the top of the screen alongside a contextual in-game clock. Styled with a carved wooden aesthetic, the compass projects active world map markers onto their true bearings with dynamic distance scaling and opacity. The top-mounted clock tracks the current day count, digital time, and named daylight phases corresponding directly to the engine's sleep and nocturnal creature spawn windows.

Key Features:

Skyrim-Style Compass Bar: Carved wooden navigation bar along the upper screen edge displaying cardinal points (N, NE, E, etc.) with tick marks every 15 degrees.
True Bearing Pin Placement: Pins are rendered directly from the in-game map using their native icons, mapped to your actual camera perspective (a pin at your two o'clock appears directly at two o'clock on the bar).
Distance Scaling & Opacity: Marker icons scale and brighten dynamically as you close the distance—appearing faint and compact at maximum tracking range, and scaling to twice the size with full opacity when standing nearby.
Center-Focus Labeling: Only the single pin closest to the center crosshair displays its name and distance in meters beneath the bar, preventing text overlaps.
Context-Aware HUD Hiding: Automatically hides itself while the full world map, inventory screen, or pause menu is open, as well as during full HUD toggle-off states.
Daytime Phase Clock: Displays time and day count in Valheim's native serif typeface directly above the bar, naming the active phase of the day (e.g., Dawn 42 — 6:40 AM, Dusk 42 — 5:20 PM, Night 43 — 12:15 AM). "Night" runs from 18:00 to 06:00 (aligning with bed usability and night-spawning mechanics), while "Dusk" serves as a 2-hour pre-nightfall warning.

Intelligent Pin Suppression:

Hides completed/checked-off map pins;
Hides emptied structure chests when running in tandem with Cartur's Map Pins;
Hides any pin within an 8-meter radius to prevent icons from wildly oscillating across the bar when standing directly on top of a node.

Installation Instructions:

Ensure BepInEx for Valheim is installed.
Download the CarturCompassAndClock.dll file.
Place CarturCompassAndClock.dll into your plugins directory:
<Valheim_Directory>\BepInEx\plugins\.
Launch the game.
