A full-fledged base logistics and inventory automation framework for Valheim. StoreAndCraft eliminates warehouse micro-management: dropped items are magnetically routed into categorized chests, personal inventories can be unloaded with a single keystroke, and workstations/hammer blueprints pull materials directly from nearby storage. Features include hands-free auto-refilling for kilns and smelters with per-station input whitelists, dynamic wall-mounted inventory displays, favorite-item protection, and proximity search pings.

Core Features:

Auto-Store & Quick Unload:

  • Ground Item Vacuum — Dropped or mined items are pulled into storage containers automatically if any connected player stands within StoreRange.
  • Existing-Item Filtering (MustHaveExisting) — By default, chests only ingest items that match stacks already stored inside.
  • Vehicle Storage Support — Handcarts and ship cargo holds function as valid network containers alongside stationary chests.
  • Safe Area Integration — Auto-storing exclusively affects player-crafted chests (dungeon chests and village spawns are ignored); Ward security boundaries are fully enforced.
  • Hot-Dump (.) — Pressing . unloads matching inventory stacks into valid nearby chests, filling partial stacks to maximum capacity.
  • Cursor Deposit (MMB) — Middle-clicking an item inside an open inventory unloads that single hovered item into storage.
  • Hotbar Exemption (IgnoreHotbar) — Dedicated configuration toggle to preserve quick-slot equipment.
  • Stack Replenishment (Ctrl + MMB) — Holding Ctrl and clicking the middle mouse button on an item stack replenishes that stack from surrounding chests.

Craft & Construct From Storage:

  • Shared Crafting Radius — Workstations, forges, and the building hammer dynamically calculate ingredient availability across all nearby chests.
  • Direct Material Routing — Required components are pulled into production steps directly from storage containers without occupying empty player backpack slots first.
  • Contextual Visual Hints — Recipe requirement counters display a yellow font tint whenever ingredients are being pulled from surrounding chests.
  • Reserve Item Protection (LeaveOneItem) — Keeps a baseline of 1 item in each container slot so auto-store filters remain primed (reserved items cannot be consumed by crafts or station feeds; toggleable in settings).

Station Refill & Automated Smelting:

  • Proximity Manual Refill (E) — Powers smelters, charcoal kilns, cooking stations, campfires, torches, fermenters, and ballistas using chest supplies when personal bags lack fuel or raw goods (player inventory items take precedence).
  • Station Auto-Fill (B) — Look at any smelting, cooking, or lighting station with your inventory closed and tap B to activate auto-feeding. Stations pull complete fuel/ore batches as soon as an input slot empties.
  • Throttled Cache Polling — If storage containers run out of required inputs, station scans pause for 20 seconds to eliminate CPU cycles and notification spam.
  • Input Whitelist Filters (Alt + E) — Opens a UI menu ([+] / [-]) directly on kilns and multi-input smelters to toggle accepted resources (e.g., permit Core Wood while disabling regular Wood). Settings are committed to station ZDO data.

Storage Displays (Hammer Blueprint):

  • Mountable wooden inventory display boards constructed via the Building Hammer.
  • Press E on a board to toggle tracked resource categories ([+] / [-]), allowing multi-category filtering (e.g., Wood + Ore).
  • Aligning multiple boards with identical category filters automatically forms multi-page display arrays (1/2, 2/2).

Supported Filter Categories:

  • Resources: Wood, Ore, Metals, Stone, Fuel, Hides, Parts, Crops & Seeds, Raw Food, Gems & Coins, Boss / Rare.
  • Other: Food, Fish, Trophy, Ammo, Tools, Weapons, Armor, Utility, Misc.

Organization & Inventory Quality-of-Life:

  • Favorite Protection (F) — Hovering over an item and pressing F marks it with a gold border, a ★ badge, and a tooltip marker, preventing accidental dumping. Saved locally in StoreAndCraft.favorites.txt.
  • Container Exclusion ([I]) — Prefixing a chest's label with [I] isolates it from auto-storing, craft pulling, and display monitoring (chest tooltip text turns red). Rename via Alt + E or Shift + E.
  • Locate Stack (Y) — Hovering over an item in your bag and tapping Y pings the nearest chest containing that item with 3 visual pulses and a temporary map marker.
  • Quick Sort (R) — Tapping R organizes the personal inventory, or sorts exclusively inside an open chest without altering player bags.

Multiplayer Compatibility:

  • Requires installation on both the server and all client instances (version parity enforced).
  • Native server configuration synchronization via LockConfig.
  • Synchronized container locks prevent container desync when players access identical storage boxes concurrently.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Ensure BepInEx for Valheim is installed.
  2. Download the mod archive.
