Data about the remasters of these two games leaked online in 2023, when Microsoft was in litigation with the US Federal Trade Commission. Before that, its alleged developer spoke about the updated Oblivion: the project was made on the Unreal Engine 5, and the release was supposed to take place in late 2024 — early 2025.
However, fans of the fourth TES can still get their favorite game with updated graphics and engine. Recently, the developers of Skyblivion showed 20 minutes of gameplay of their unofficial remake. And recently they shared new screenshots of the project, demonstrating the dungeons of the fort and Anvil. The project is scheduled for release in 2025.
