CD Projekt RED: Ciri Will Lose Some Skills in The Witcher 4, but Will Be Faster
After the release of the first cinematic of The Witcher 4, gamers had a logical question — will Ciri the witcher be too powerful with her innate abilities? Studio CD Projekt RED refuted the concerns, stating that after the events of The Witcher 3, something happened to the powers of Emhyr's daughter.
The developers gave an interview to the GamesRadar+ , where they revealed a little about the heroine's capabilities. According to them, the trailer clearly demonstrates that Ciri has lost some of her abilities:
CDPR also assured that Ciri's new powers and abilities will be explained in full accordance with the canon of the Witcher universe:
However, the young warrior will definitely have some improvements compared to Geralt. For example, Ciri will become faster and more agile than her adoptive father, but in some ways she will still adhere to the style of the old witcher.
Earlier, the developers from CD Projekt Red admitted that they were aware of the ambiguity of the decision to make Ciri the heroine of the new game trilogy.
