Everything About Yoimiya from Genshin Impact: Best Builds, Skills, Leveling, and Ascension
Genshin Impact is a popular anime game where players explore a vast open world, battle monsters, and solve various puzzles. With the release of the latest update, new heroes will be introduced, one of which will be Yoimiya. In this guide, we will cover her features, abilities, artifacts, ascension materials, and provide tips to help you use the character most effectively.
How to Obtain Yoimiya
Yoimiya will appear in Genshin Impact with the update on July 22. Like all other characters, she can be obtained during the prayer (wish) event. This will require a special premium currency, which can be acquired in exchange for Primogems.
Yoimiya Description
Yoimiya is a 5-star character who uses a long-range bow and skills charged with Pyro effects in battle. In the story, she is a master of fireworks from Inazuma (a new region also introduced in update 2.0). In practice, the warrior can be used as a main or a secondary hero, focused on dealing maximum damage.
Artworks of Yoimiya
Yoimiya's Active Talents
Firework Flare-Up — Yoimiya's normal attack fires up to 5 arrows at the enemy, and her charged attack allows sending an enhanced arrow, dealing additional fire damage. The power of the charged attack depends on the skill level (1st level allows firing an arrow with Pyro damage, 2nd level — the character fires up to 3 arrows that automatically find the enemy and explode upon reaching the target).
Niwabi Fire-Dance (Elemental Skill) — Yoimiya surrounds herself with a ring of saltpeter, dealing damage to all nearby enemies.
Niwabi Fire-Dance Ensei — while the skill is active, each of Yoimiya's normal shots gains an additional Pyro effect (during the skill's duration, Firework Flare-Up stops generating explosive arrows), which disappears after the archer exits combat.
Ryuukin Saxifrage (Elemental Burst) — using the skill launches blazing rockets into the sky, dealing Pyro damage in an area and marking one enemy with the effect of Golden Shine.
Golden Shine — squad members (except Yoimiya herself), dealing any attacks to an enemy marked with Golden Shine, cause explosions, dealing area damage and hitting enemies near the target. If the target dies during the effect of Golden Shine, the effect moves to the next monster (the shine explosions can occur no more than once every 2 seconds).
Yoimiya's Passive Talents
Summer Night's Dawn — using the Ryuukin Saxifrage talent increases the damage dealt by squad members by 10% for 15 seconds (additional effect — triggering the Trickster's Flare increases damage by an additional 1%).
Trickster's Flare — while the Niwabi Fire-Dance skill is active, each of Yoimiya's normal attacks on a target will deal an additional 2% Pyro damage (the effect stacks up to 10 times and lasts for 3 seconds).
Blazing Match — when Yoimiya crafts landscape, furnishing, or decoration items, there's a 100% chance to refund some of the materials used.

Best Builds for Weapons and Artifacts for Yoimiya
As we mentioned at the beginning of the guide, Yoimiya is a character focused on dealing maximum damage, so it is necessary to level her up in that direction.
The character achieves maximum attacking potential if she wields the Skyward Harp or Amos' Bow. The first weapon increases Yoimiya's base damage by 20-40% and gives a 60-100% chance to deal additional Pyro damage in an area. The second weapon increases the damage of basic and charged attacks by 12-14%, and also provides an additional 8-16% damage depending on the arrow's flight distance (this effect stacks up to 5 times).
Eimiya can also be tried in the role of a secondary attacking hero with support functions. To unlock her full potential in this direction, you will need to arm the warrior with Elegy for the End, which increases the heroine's elemental mastery by 80-120 units. In addition to this, upon successful triggering of an elemental burst or elemental skill, all members of Eimiya's squad receive from 100 to 200 units to elemental mastery and deal an additional 20-40% of attack level.
If it's not possible to find a 5-star weapon, the Ceremonial Weapon will do. Besides decent damage, it also gives the owner a 40-80% chance to reset the cooldown of the elemental skill when using the same ability.
As for artifacts, we recommend collecting the Crimson Witch of Flames set, which is optimal for all heroes whose skills have a Pyro effect. By collecting 2 pieces of the set, you get a bonus 15% to damage from fire abilities, and for collecting the full set, you are awaited by two additional effects: a bonus of 40% to damage against targets affected by the Burning, Overloaded, or Superconduct effect; a bonus of 15% to damage against targets from the Melt and Vaporize effect.
If assembling the Crimson Witch of Flames set is not possible, as an alternative, you can use the Noblesse Oblige (increases damage from elemental burst and attacks for all squad members) or the Wanderer's Troupe (increases elemental mastery and damage from charged bow attacks).
Advantages and Disadvantages of Eimiya
Advantages:
- High base damage, enhanced by fire magic (Pyro).
- Fast cooldown of elemental skills.
- Can become an excellent support, increasing the stats of all squad members.
Disadvantages:
- Low defense level.
- Strong dependence on having good artifacts and weapons.
How to play as Eimiya? Which heroes combine well in a team with Eimiya?
Eimiya will become your main character if you focus on maximum damage in battle. The archer moves actively across the field and also has a large set of lethal abilities, which, in combination with the right effects, will help quickly deal with even the strongest opponent (or a whole crowd of lower-ranked enemies).
The optimal team composition with Eimiya, if she is leveled for damage:
- Diluc, Hu Tao, Klee, Yanfei (Pyro-characters);
- Razor, Beidou (Electro-characters);
- Eula (Cryo-characters);
- Xiao (Anemo-characters);
- Tartaglia (Hydro-characters).
The optimal team composition with Eimiya, if she is leveled for support:
- Albedo, Zhongli (Geo-characters);
- Mona, Xingqiu (Hydro-characters);
- Venti, Sucrose (Anemo-characters).
