Artworks of Thoma

Active Talents of Thoma

  • Spear of Destruction (normal attack). Thoma performs up to four spear strikes. The charged version of this attack is a forward thrust that deals damage to all enemies in its path. This move consumes stamina points. If you attack enemies while falling, you can deal area damage.
  • Blazing Barrier (elemental skill). Thoma kicks enemies and deals area damage. In addition, the hero obtains a Blazing Shield, which absorbs Pyro (fire) attacks 250% more effectively. Fire resistance directly depends on the hero's maximum health. If you receive a new shield while this one is active, the absorption effect will remain, and its duration will be refreshed. The shield can be used not only by Thoma but also by other heroes in your team.
  • Crimson Oath of Fire (elemental burst). Thoma spins his spear, attacks enemies in the area, and creates a fiery aura. It adds a Blazing Fracture effect to the normal attacks of the active character, dealing additional fire damage in the area. It can occur once a second. In addition, the hero receives a Blazing Shield. It is similar to the one that appears when using Thoma's elemental skill, except for the damage absorption. It depends on the character's maximum health. If Thoma dies, the fiery aura will disappear.

Passive Talents of Thoma

  • Swing and Fling. When Thoma is in the team, during fishing, the Traveler has a 20% chance of obtaining a double catch. The effect only works in Inazuma.
  • Overlapping Armor. Unlocked at the 2nd phase of ascension. When your character receives or refreshes a Blazing Shield, its strength increases by 5% for 6 seconds. The effect can stack up to 5 times.
  • Flaming Attack. Will be available at the 4th phase of ascension. The damage from Blazing Fracture, which occurs after using Thoma's elemental burst, is increased by 2.2% of the hero's maximum health.

Best Builds for Thoma's Weapons and Artifacts

    Build for Increased Shield Strength

For Thoma's weapon, consider using the five-star polearm called Vortex Vanquisher. It increases shield strength by 20-40%, and when hitting an opponent, it increases the wielder's attack by 4-8%. This effect lasts for 8 seconds and can stack up to 5 times. Additionally, under the effect of a shield, your attack power is increased by 100%. This weapon can be obtained through the Epitome Invocation wish.

An alternative option is the four-star polearm Prototype Starglitter. It increases energy recharge by 10-45.9%, and using an Elemental Skill increases normal and charged attack damage by 8-16% for 12 seconds. This effect can stack up to two times.

This polearm can be crafted with a Northlander Polearm Prototype, 50 Crystal Chunks, and 50 White Iron Chunks. The Northlander Polearm Prototype can be obtained as a reward for defeating Signora, the Stormterror, Childe, Azhdaha, or the Wolf of the North, or it can be purchased from Xingxi. We have marked their locations on the map:

Crystal Chunk locations are indicated on the map:

For searching White Iron Chunks, you can also use our maps:

For artifacts, consider the Retracing Bolide set. Note that the 35% shield strength increase (a bonus from 2 pieces of this set) will only work for Thoma himself. However, if you collect 4 artifacts from this set, the normal and charged attack of any character under the protection of a shield will increase by 40%. Combined with the effects from the Vortex Vanquisher weapon, this results in a significant damage boost. These artifacts can be obtained throughout the Domain of Guyun dungeon. We have marked its location on the map:

    Build for Increased Fire Damage

If you want to enhance fire attack, consider the four-star polearm called The Catch. It increases Elemental Burst damage by 16-32% and critical hit rate by 6-12%. It can be purchased from the Inazuma Fishing Association branches. We have marked the locations of these buildings on the maps:

An alternative option is the four-star polearm Dragon's Bane. It increases elemental mastery by 48-221 and increases damage against enemies affected by Pyro or Hydro status by 20-36%. This weapon can be obtained through wishes.

The best artifact set for this build is Noblesse Oblige. It increases elemental burst damage by 20%, and its activation increases the attack power of all your team's characters by 20% for 12 seconds. You can collect items from this set in the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern dungeon. You can find it using our map:

Also, consider the artifact set named Crimson Witch of Flames. You can find it in the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula. The location of this dungeon is marked on the map:

It's optimal to equip only two artifacts from the Crimson Witch of Flames set. In this case, you will receive a 15% increase in your Pyro (fire) attacks. The other two artifacts can be taken from the Emblem of Severed Fate set. They will increase your energy recharge by 20%. You can obtain them in the Momiji-Dyed Court dungeon.
