Magic Vodka and Professor Dvupalov: Should You Drink in Stalker 2
During the storyline quest "In Search of Past Glory" in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you will encounter Professor Dvupalov, who will offer you to try his new invention — "magic vodka" with unique properties. In this guide, we will discuss whether you should support the professor and explore the potential consequences of the player's decisions.
Drink to the End
It is worth noting right away that during the dialogue at the table, you will have to drink three glasses. However, you will have the option to skip only one of these shots. If you decide to support Dvupalov in tasting the magic vodka and drink each cup, by the end of the dialogue, he will be more amiable and provide you with important information about the mission.
When the professor stands up to hand the key card to Skif, you will need to catch the artifact that flies out of Dvupalov's device. However, there's a catch — after drinking the vodka, you won't just be intoxicated: you'll see double, everything will blur, and your coordination will be ten times more impaired. Under these conditions, catching the artifact will be significantly more challenging, so be prepared for additional difficulties.
Drink Two Shots
If you decide not to drink to the end, during the third choice, tell Dvupalov "I'm interested in the project" to skip the shot. This will help avoid severe intoxication. When the characters stand up to search for the key card and the artifact flies out of the device again, it will be much easier for you to catch it. In this case, the vodka's effect won't impact the protagonist's coordination as much, and you will handle the task much more easily than if you drank all the shots.
Based on the above, it can be concluded that it is definitely better for you not to drink the magic vodka to the end, as this will make catching the artifact more difficult. The effect of this vodka is much stronger and longer-lasting than usual, and upon leaving the professor's lair, you will still have to deal with the consequences, trying not to succumb to the effects of dizziness and impaired coordination. By skipping one shot, you will significantly ease your task and avoid additional inconveniences in the future.
