Split Fiction: Neon Revenge — Chapter 2 Walkthrough

Neon Revenge is the second chapter of the story campaign in the game Split Fiction. In this episode, players find themselves in Mio's futuristic story, where they can fight multiple bosses and complete additional quests. This guide provides a detailed walkthrough of the chapter.

After an extended cutscene, the heroes will have new devices: the player on the right can lift objects, and the gamer on the left can use melee weapons to open doors and interact with other mechanisms. For example, at the very beginning of the location, tear off the cover from the energy module on the gate and attack it so that the partner can lift them and open the passage.

You will find yourself at a cliff. The player on the left should pull up to the pink gravitational platform and cut the cable, while the second character uses it to overcome the obstacle. Since the first player is on the wall, the hero with the ability to move objects moves a container to them and shifts it to the left. Reaching the edge of the platform, the character with the weapon breaks the grid, and the second player removes the obstacle in the form of boxes.

In the next room, use the gravitational platform and open access to the energy element. Meanwhile, the partner should catch one or more barrels and throw them at this element.

Open the passage to the corridor so the first player can use the next gravity platform. Drop all the containers down and help the ally run across them. Once in the room with the lever, the second gamer should extend the rods on the right and left so that the friend can destroy them.

Rush Hour

Next, you will encounter a segment involving movement across flying cars. Use small cars to reach trucks and move forward. On some trucks, you will also notice grapple points and devices that help cover large distances, similar to trampolines. The first player should hit them with a weapon to activate, and the second should stand on the platform.

After crossing, the second player opens access to the gravity platform with a box, so the friend can reach the truck cabin and control the vehicle. Move the truck closer to the partner — he will climb the ladder to the roof and open the passage. Get out of the truck, use the gravity platform, and run inside with your friend.

Use the rotating platforms in the acid and get out. The first player uses the gravity platform and waits while the friend opens the path up the ladder using their ability. Then, he detaches the ladder, allowing the second player to unfold it to the right and both characters to move further. Next, just move across the cars and interact with the hatch cover.

After the cutscene, armed enemies will appear on the opposite platform. Deal with them using your abilities and move forward until a cutscene on the engine starts, after which you can begin an additional mission.

Additional Mission. The Legend of Sandfish

You can start the quest by interacting with the portal immediately after the cutscene of the fall. It is important that both players do this; otherwise, you will miss the opportunity.

Reaching the gates, open them and slide down. Here it is important to avoid the sands, as a predator lurks within them. You need to take turns using towers to attract the enemy's attention while the partner moves to the next column. Overcome the next obstacle and run along the rope forward, then climb the poles and prepare to slide. Climb even higher and go through the tower by interacting with the massive gates.

Grab onto your respective creature and overcome obstacles on the path in time. At the end of the segment, you will return to the previous location.

Hello, Mr. Hammer

The first player uses gravity platforms and throws a ball to the partner, who must catch it and break the glass with it. In the same way, the first player breaks the glass below, but independently.

When the gamers reunite, the second character grabs the sphere in the glass behind him, opening access to the gravity platform. The partner climbs up and drops the ladder for the second player.

In the next location, run into the passage with the "Wake Up" sign. Rip off the cover from the device so the friend can break the energy module. This will take you to the metro station. Wait for the first train to pass, then run to the platform between the tunnels and wait for the next train. You can use sliding and walls to avoid colliding with the train to reach the second station and exit the metro.

Next, there will be a bit of parkour to the roof of one of the buildings. Here, pick up the energy element — the friend will break it and stop the fan's rotation. This way, you can enter the nightclub. Do not touch the floor: use grapple points and metal platforms. At the end of the level, get into the elevator and watch the cutscene, after which you will have to fight the boss.

How to Defeat the Boss Mr. Hammer

First, the enemy releases several energy charges, then throws his hammer on the ground: the second player must distract him while the first attacks the hammer on the floor to knock off its barrier. Once this happens, the second player uses their ability to grab the hammer and strike Mr. Hammer several times with his own weapon. Meanwhile, the first character can also attack the enemy with regular hits, although they will not be as effective.

In the second phase, the enemy grabs his weapon and starts swinging it chaotically, chasing one of the characters. At the end of the segment, he strikes the ground three times, releasing energy beams, after which he drops the hammer again. Repeat the actions to deal damage to the enemy.

When the boss has about half of his health left, he will release a group of small enemies in the form of mechanical dogs into the arena. These opponents can grab characters, so try to deal with them before they jump on your protagonist. There won't be anything new after that: knock off the hammer's shield and attack the enemy.

In the final phase, Hammer uses the hammer to create electrical charges moving across the arena. If you hit one, you will die instantly. Besides, after falling to the ground, the hammer will start moving from time to time, making it difficult to destroy the shield.

Streets of Neon

Right after defeating the boss, you will encounter a sliding segment where you will have to dodge not only projectiles but also try not to fall into holes along the way. Upon reaching the locked gates, interact with them and watch the video, after which the heroines will notice an open portal in the distance.

Additional Mission. Farmlife

In the next story, the heroes will turn into pigs. Climb onto the hay and use the ability to overcome the obstacle. You will hear the voice of a door that will ask for two apples. Find them on the upper levels to proceed further. Explore the area around the giant pig and pick up two more similar apples. One is on wooden platforms (purple), and the other is hidden at the top of the elevator (green). Use soap bubbles for high jumps.

Go through the farm building and find a large metal shovel. With its help, the partner should toss the second player with the ability to accelerate. This way, you will get the purple apple.

The second item can also be obtained by working together. The character with the acceleration ability overcomes a large gap and lowers a basket of apples to the second player. The latter climbs higher and picks up the green apple.

Upon reaching another location, you can destroy the fragile pig's house (optional), then run to the cliff and cross using baskets. Climb into the hot air balloon basket and interact with it to open.

After a small scene, the pigs will turn into sausages, which you need to control. Turn on the grill and fry yourself to change color once. If overcooked, you will die. Then alternately apply mustard and ketchup on each other, and then lie in the bun. Right after the cutscene, you will return to normal.

Parking Garage

Take the elevator up and grab the nearest ledge. A little lower, you will see enemies, after defeating them, the first player must use the gravity platform. At this moment, more enemies will appear on the elevation — the second character must destroy them while the first makes their way forward. Additionally, Zoe should pave the way for the partner using green rods.

As soon as the first player reaches the device that activates the trampoline, the second character stands on it and waits for impact. After rising higher, throw green rods into the moving platforms, this will help the friend move further.

Using the next gravity platform, activate the retractable rods alternately. This way, the partner can grab onto them and open access to the third gravity platform. With the help of a flying car, reach the entrance to the building, where several enemies will be waiting. Get rid of them and go inside.

Parking Attendant Boss

Next, you will encounter a platforming level where you need to run forward, overcoming obstacles and dodging a laser beam. When you find yourself at a dead end, wait for the platform to the right of the cars to fall down. Once you ascend to the roof via the elevator, the boss battle will begin.

In the first segment of the battle, the enemy releases several cars and motorbikes into the arena, from which you must dodge in time. Then he marks spots where he will deal damage with a laser. When the boss turns away from the characters, you will notice a gravity platform on him. Use it and reach the core, while dodging the beams.

In the second phase of the battle, not only cars but also larger wheeled machinery will be used. Wait for the gravity platform to appear and repeat the actions, this time dodging not only beams but also numerous spheres.

When the enemy has about half of his health left, the first character can climb directly inside the sphere and attempt to capture the core to make the boss vulnerable from the outside. The player controlling Zoe must use her ability to capture the green objects appearing on the sphere. When two such objects are destroyed, the first character heads to the core and destroys it.

However, the battle will not end there, as a smaller version of the parking robot will appear in the arena. First, dodge its attacks, then when the enemy stops attacking for a while, Zoe should grab the robot, and the partner should deal damage to it.

The Getaway Car

Now the players switch roles. If the first player previously piloted the plane, this time the second gamer will control the flying car. Try to dodge enemy vehicles in time and destroy them.

A little later, you will find yourself in large pipes. When the path in them ends, switch the flow to another — there will be plenty of other pipes nearby. Additionally, you will often encounter mined sections along your way. It's important for the first player to destroy them with rocket launcher shots.

Eventually, you will find yourself at a dead end. The only option will be to jump out of the pipe and crash into the building.

Big City Life

Get out from under the water, climb the ladder, and use grapples to reach the building opposite. Here you can use a bench to watch a small scene.

A little further, you will need to somehow cross a large gap. The first player locks themselves in a portable toilet, and the second throws it to the opposite side. After doing this, use the trash container and the objects flying out of it, which the second character can grab onto. Enter the building and take the elevator.

When the game suddenly becomes a 2D platformer, use the gravity platform and run down the pipes to activate the bridge. Continue forward using abilities, helping each other until a cutscene begins.

Flipped Cityscapes

Next, another chase level begins. The first player must control the motorcycle, choose the right routes, and use gravity platforms in time. During the chase, the second gamer can grab any objects and enemies. Towards the finale, Zoe will have the opportunity to prevent the bike from exploding, but it won't be successful: CAPTCHAs, calls, and other obstacles will appear on the smartphone screen. When the characters acquire separate motorcycles, continue to move forward, simultaneously destroying enemies in the air.

How to Defeat the SRI Crime Boss

As you might have guessed, the battle with the next boss will take place on bikes. Pick up glowing sphere-charges to attack the enemy. When the opponent has less than half of their health left, planes attacking you from the air will start to appear. We recommend getting rid of these machines first, then focusing fire on the main opponent.

After destroying the boss's first form, an improved version with mechanical tentacles will appear in the arena. The enemy's vulnerable spots are its mechanical legs, focus fire on them. Once the machine loses its limbs, it will fall onto the arena. Use the trampolines to help you rise higher and attack the enemy. It will take a few attacks for the boss to recover and stand on its legs again.

The third phase is almost indistinguishable from the previous one, except for the presence of new attacks. You still need to disable the legs, then direct damage to the boss's vulnerable spot. For an unequivocal victory, use the trampoline three times.
