In Assassin's Creed Shadows, gamers will need to show more independence. Now you will need to find story objectives on the map and choose the right answers in dialogues, which may complicate the completion of story missions. In this guide, we will tell you how to prepare for the Tea Ceremony, describe the correct answers in dialogues, and tell you who exactly to challenge: Otama or Wakasa.

After receiving the quest "Meet by Clothes," head to the city of Sakai, located in the southeast of Izumi Settsu. Upon reaching the port, follow the stalls south until you meet a woman in green attire on the left. Talk to her, and the task will update.

She will tell you that to create the outfit for the ceremony in one day, she needs material, whose supplies have recently been disrupted by pirates.

Turning to the sea, you will notice two ships in the distance. One of them has silk. Sail to the first ship and climb across the masts to the second. The decision of how to act — eliminate enemies or avoid them — is up to you. The material is in one of the chests in the center of the deck. Take the silk and make another choice.

In fact, the choice of outfit will only affect some dialogues with characters, particularly with Wakasa. Otamа will still reply that she doesn't like your taste. The storyline will remain unchanged. If you give the correct answers in conversations, you will be able to positively complete the ceremony and easily eliminate Onryo.

Once you have the outfit for the ceremony, you will need to find the tea merchant to undergo a small training and take one of the gifts from master Sen no Rikyu. If you send scouts, you will receive a small highlighted area for exploration in the northern part of the city. Walk between the stalls to find the merchant.

Upon completing the training, Sen no Rikyu will offer to choose one of the gifts for the tea ceremony master.

As with the outfit, the choice of gift will not affect the plot, as each of the three items will be received favorably:

Upon arriving at the tea ceremony master, you must first converse with him until one of the generals appears. You can choose any answers, as it will not drastically affect the plot. However, just before the ceremony, you will have the opportunity to go to the inner courtyard and talk with other women, among whom is your target.

Despite the game offering to talk with three girls, the only significant dialogue that matters for completing the task occurs with Wakasa. We also recommend not lying to the women and using the same name you mentioned at the very beginning of the quest chain.

Shortly after beginning the conversation with Wakasa, she will ask if you have heard of her before. Choose the option "I'm new to Sakai" to avoid drawing attention and gain approval. Soon another choice will appear, where Wakasa will try to catch you in a lie and ask: "Remind me, where are you from?" You should answer "I didn't say".

When it comes to the tea ceremony itself, choose the following options.

The correct gesture is a shallow bow, as this element of etiquette was taught to Naoe by master Sen-no Rikyu during the "Perfect Gift" quest. This is explained by the fact that a half-bow symbolizes equality, which is a key aspect of the ceremony. If you perform a half-bow, Imai Sokyu will smile at you. otherwise, he will shake his head disapprovingly and note your mistake.

The correct answer in this case is to turn the cup twice to the right, so that the pattern is visible to the master and other participants of the ceremony. You could simply have observed the actions of other women and noticed this.

At the end of the "Tea Ceremony" quest, you will have to make a key choice: fight Otamа or Wakasa in the garden after the ceremony. At this moment, you need to use the clues gathered during the quest to determine who is the Golden Teppo, who shot Naoe at the beginning of the game.

The correct decision is to confront Wakasa, as she is a member of the Golden Teppo. If she did not catch you in a lie before the ceremony, after the choice, the girl will invite you to a private meeting at her home.

But if you made two or more mistakes, Wakasa will recognize you as the girl from whom she recently took a box and whose father she killed. In this case, she will disappear, but will soon appear in the castle, which you will have to capture according to the plot.

If you make a mistake and choose to confront Otamа, Naoe will follow her when the woman leaves the ceremony. After dealing with her, you will be able to read a letter addressed to Wakasa, revealing that she is the true Golden Teppo. In this case, you will not achieve the initial goal, but you will eliminate another bad person.

In the first scenario, you will go with Wakasa to her home. She will suggest you look around, which you should do. The girl's hut is quite small, so you will quickly find the musket by the chest on the wall. Interacting with it, the heroine will point the barrel at Onryo, and you can choose one of two options: "Return my box" or "I want revenge."

Regardless of your final choice, Naoe will still eliminate Wakasa by shooting her in the head. If you demand the box back, Wakasa will claim she knows its location but will not reveal it. Instead, she will offer to accompany the heroine to it. Naoe, showing prudence, will decline this offer and decide to shoot her.

If you choose "I want revenge," Naoe will say that Wakasa must feel the same pain she felt at her father's death. Wakasa will respond that it's unlikely, as there is no love between her and her father. She will then make another attempt to strike a deal with Naoe, but the heroine will refuse and shoot her.

The conclusion of the "Tea Ceremony" will present you with an important decision: either engage in open confrontation with Otamа or make several mistakes during the ritual. Whichever path you choose, the final point will be infiltrating Osaka Castle to eliminate Wakasa.

Wakasa hides at the edge of the main tower. In the heat of battle, you can sneak up on her and eliminate her stealthily by pressing a single key. However, for this, you will also need to eliminate several patrols who will surely spot you if you decide to ignore them.
