Assassin's Creed Shadows: Yamato Ishibutai Kofun Walkthrough

In Assassin's Creed Shadows, ancient Japanese tombs hide more than just artifacts — they hold the keys to powerful relics. Each excavated kofun becomes a test of insight, generously rewarded: invaluable experience and legendary armor await those who can unravel their centuries-old secrets. Today, we head to the lost Yamato Ishibutai Kofun, where the shadows of the past intertwine with the dangers of the present.

How to find the tomb

This burial can be completed by playing as Naoe. Find it in the Yamato region, in the stone basin of Asuka, south of the Takatori Castle ruins. The nearest viewpoint is Tenshu Takatori.

Tomb walkthrough

Descend and crawl through the crack in the wall on the left. You will find yourself in the first room, where you can collect a reward from the chest in the center. Then crawl under the wall on the right and continue deeper into the ruins.

Next, you need to traverse the long corridors of the cave using parkour and a grappling hook. At the end, you will reach a large room with a tree in the center. Here you need to move across wooden platforms, covering long distances with the help of a rope. If you fall down and survive, you can climb back up using a wooden pole. In this room, there are three cases along the walls.

Find the arch to the west of the tree. Enter there and climb up, constantly shifting to the left until you reach the top. Then continue going up the stairs, where you will find the legendary chest.

Reward:

  • Knowledge Point.
  • Legendary Trinket: Masakado's Vengeance.
  • Effect: +1% damage for each unspent mastery point.
  • Engraving: Damage for unspent mastery points.
  • Experience Points: 2,000.

How to get out

From the chest, turn left and go down the corridor to the exit of the tomb.
