Assassin's Creed Shadows: Yamato Megalithic Vault Walkthrough

In the depths of Assassin's Creed Shadows lie silent guardians of history — mysterious kofuns that hold not just ancient artifacts, but true keys to power. These mounds are not just locations, but multi-layered challenges where each discovered relic changes the rules of the game. In this guide, we will describe how to find and complete the Yamato Megalithic Vault.

The burial can be completed by playing as Yasuke. The burial site is located in Koriyama, the northern part of the Yamato region, east of the Todai-ji Temple. The nearest viewpoint is Koriyama Forest.

Descend into the tomb until you come across a crate that needs to be pushed forward. From the crate, turn left and shoot the oil pot to destroy the stone blockage. You will find yourself in a room with a hole in the floor, where you need to jump into the water.

Once in the water, dive a little deeper and open the case. Exit the water and go down the corridor to the left and up, then to the right and crawl under the wall. This will lead you to the next adit.

From the sarcophagus, turn left and proceed forward until you come across a small room with two crates. Move the large crate to collect the reward from the chest on its left, and by moving the crate back, you can return to the room with the sarcophagus.

Now the crate next to the chest needs to be dragged into the hall with the coffin and pushed against the wall to the right of the sarcophagus to climb up. Run straight, then turn right and head down. Turn left, open the chest in the room behind the pots, then go back and continue to the destroyed wooden bridge.

Jump over the bridge and turn right. Break the wooden door with a sprint push and collect the treasure, then go back and proceed to the end until you find a large room with sarcophagi. Descend and move the crate that was under you slightly towards you and to the left. Head to the corridor where you moved the crate until you encounter another box — it needs to be pulled towards you, and then return to the crate you moved earlier. Now this crate has to be moved to the opposite wall.

Then climb up and scramble over the beams into the left opening. Climb into it and you will enter the next section of the ruins.

Walk forward on the planks until you enter a room with red statues. Turn left, crawl under the wall, and proceed down the corridor to the end. Open the casket, then turn right — in the crevice, you will see an oil pot that needs to be shot.

Return to the room with the statues and push the crate forward. Turn right and climb up the stairs until you come across the legendary chest.

Rewards:

From the chest, turn left, pull the crate towards you, and crawl under the wall. Climb up the stairs and exit to the surface on the other side of the tomb.
