Aniimo Evolution Guide: All Evolutions, Requirements, and Materials

The evolution system in Aniimo lets you improve the stats of creatures you've caught while also unlocking new abilities and appearances. At first, the system can seem confusing because evolution requirements vary from one Aniimo to another and are listed in a separate menu. In this guide, we'll explain how to unlock new evolutions, which resources you need, and how to complete every requirement before evolving your creatures.
How the Evolution System Works
Evolution in Aniimo is somewhat similar to Pokémon, as creatures progress through three main stages:
- Lumin: the base stage.
- Gamma: the intermediate stage.
- Nova: the final evolution stage.
However, not every Aniimo necessarily goes through all three stages. Some creatures also have branching evolution paths, allowing you to choose between two different forms. In these cases, read the requirements carefully and choose the evolution that best fits your preferred playstyle.
To reach the next evolution stage, you'll need to meet specific requirements and collect special materials used to evolve the selected creature.
How to Evolve an Aniimo
All evolution requirements are listed in a dedicated menu. To access it:
- Open the pause menu and select Aniimo Management.
- Choose the creature you want to evolve.
- Select Evolution.
This screen shows every action you need to complete and every resource required for the selected Aniimo's next evolution. Gold double arrows on an Aniimo's portrait indicate that it is ready to evolve, while gray arrows mean that only some of the requirements have been completed. Once every condition is met, select Evolve to move your Aniimo to its next stage.
What Requirements Are Needed for Evolution
To evolve a creature, you'll usually need to complete several additional requirements. These vary depending on the specific Aniimo and the evolution stage or branch you're trying to unlock.
Some evolution requirements are simple, while others are much more involved. They generally fall into the following categories:
- Level requirements: the Aniimo must reach a specific level.
- Visiting certain locations under specific weather conditions or at a particular time of day, such as Nimbus Fields during the daytime.
- Completing unique quests.
- Defeating Alpha Aniimo.
- Unlocking a specific talent for the creature.
Once you've completed the required objectives, you can start gathering the materials needed to finish the evolution.
Which Materials Are Needed for Evolution
Aniimo's Evolution menu makes it easy to track every material required to evolve your creatures. One of the main sources of evolution materials is Alpha Aniimo, one of the game's two types of world bosses. Some materials can also be obtained through other activities or purchased from merchants.
To find out which boss drops the resource you need, open the Aniilog and go to the Alpha Trials section. There, you can view the available Alpha Aniimo and check which materials they drop.
After defeating the required boss and obtaining the material, return to the Evolution menu and complete the evolution for your selected Aniimo.
