Gameplay footage of a cancelled Batman game from Christopher Nolan's movies found online
Reddit users have discovered footage of a cancelled Batman game codenamed Project Apollo. The game was being developed by Monolith Productions, and its groundwork was later used in the creation of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
The materials have been in the internet archive since 2022, but they were only noticed now. The compiled footage video showcases the game's open world and map, skill tree, examples of various puzzles, and a scene involving the neutralization of bandits.
From the design, it appears that the events were set in the universe of Christopher Nolan's films. One of the game's distinctive features was supposed to be the Nemesis system, which allowed enemies to remember the main character.
Previously, gameplay footage of a cancelled Daredevil game, which was planned for release in 2003, was also posted online.
