Fallout 4: Far Harbor is the most profitable DLC in Bethesda history
Fans found out which addition to Bethesda games sold the best — it turned out to be the Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4. The information was found in the profile of one of the studio's developers.
According to quest designer Will Shen's LinkedIn page, Far Harbor is called «the biggest, best-selling, and most critically acclaimed expansion [Bethesda] has ever made.» It goes on to say that a team of 60 employees spent less than eight months developing it.
Let us remember that the Far Harbor add-on was released in 2016 and received good reviews from players. According to many of them, the add-on had a good plot and well-developed characters.
The developer's portfolio also contained information about other studio projects. So, 550 people worked on Starfield, and 330 employees worked on Fallout 76.
The profile also lists an «unreleased project,» which could be The Elder Scrolls 6. Will Shen has worked on it since 2022 as design director. Judging by the resume, until October 2023, 60 developers were working on the unnamed game. Let us remember that in March of this year, Bethesda announced that early builds of the new Elder Scrolls already exist.
As for the Fallout series, the studio recently announced a next-gen update for the fourth part of the post-apocalyptic RPG. The news discouraged the developers of the Fallout: London modification — the release of the fan-made addition had to be postponed due to the risk of breaking the mods.
