ZeniMax Media and its subsidiary Bethesda Softworks have filed an application to register a mysterious trademark «Motor-Powered by idTech.» Official details have not been disclosed yet.
Some speculate that this might be related to a mod kit intended for the Doom series. Others believe that the new trademark may hint at the development of a new gaming technology based on the id Tech engine family.
It is worth noting that this month, during the Xbox Games Showcase conference, Bethesda Softworks revealed the first trailer for the upcoming shooter Doom: The Dark Ages, which is scheduled for release in 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
