A new record for game releases on Steam has been set this year

This year, Steam has set a new record for the number of games released. The number of titles launched has already surpassed 14,567 projects. With more than two months remaining until the end of the year, this number is expected to grow even further.
The previous record was set in 2023, with 14,394 games released on Steam. Since 2010, the number of projects being launched has been steadily increasing, with the only exception being 2019. A detailed infographic can be seen below:
Counter-Strike 2 remains the most popular game on Steam, with a peak concurrent player count of 1.8 million.
Additionally, Steam's Next Fest recently kicked off, featuring hundreds of new demos.
