North Beach Games has shown the first trailer for Stranded Deep 2 and opened its Steam page. The sequel to Stranded Deep is planned for 2027, and its new setting trades the original island setup for a desert wilderness built around an endless river.
The trailer makes that shift clear right away: instead of the Pacific and a chain of tropical islands, players are looking at scorched land, canyons, dunes, and wide valleys. Travel will happen by kayak or raft, with the river acting as the route, the water source, and part of the resource loop at the same time. -

A public repository has surfaced with Valve files from 2003 to 2013, and dataminer Gabe Follower says the 12 TB archive did not come from a hack.
The archive has already drawn attention for early Portal 2 material, including a build dated July 2009. Fans have also found assets from the cancelled F-Stop prequel, in which the portal gun was replaced by a camera that could move objects.
