The program aims to let an eligible PS5 run a different OS while still giving that system access to the console's primary computation, memory, and graphics hardware. Rossmann framed the offer directly in the announcement:We're releasing a bounty program where if somebody comes up with a solution that allows you to modify or bypass the PS5 hypervisor to the extent that an alternative operating system can be booted... we will pay you $10,000.
