At Airbus's UK facilities, a Steam Deck has been repurposed into a controller for an ExoMars rover prototype, with science popularizer Tom Scott demonstrating the setup during a visit. TechSpot reported on the demo.
At first, the prototype was controlled from a regular laptop. Scott was then handed a Steam Deck and drove another rover himself using custom software made for the handheld. -

American Truck Simulator's new Road Trip module will let players get behind the wheel of several Ford vehicles, including the 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, the 2023 Ford F-150, the 2023 Ford Bronco, and the 1998-2012 Ford Crown Victoria. SCS Software released an official video trailer for Road Trip: Ford, and the Steam page says the DLC is planned to unlock on 29 Sep, 2026. Modder leopoko released RimWorld 3D&VR in the Steam Workshop on September 19, letting players switch the colony sim between a monitor view and a headset-enabled VR mode. The mod also adds SteamVR support and turns the game into a full 3D experience.
The project changes the game from a flat 2D plane into a 3D space, and players can rotate the camera freely at any angle. Pressing Backspace switches to a first-person view, after which you can move around the base with WASD like in a regular shooter.
